NEW ILLINOIS RENTAL TAX

We were just advised about a significant change to Illinois rental tax laws that took effect on January 1, 2025.

Here’s what you need to know:

• State and local taxes will now be applied to all rental invoices, starting January 1, 2025.

• The tax rate will be determined by the jobsite address, not the customer’s billing address.

• This change applies to all rental or leasing companies, not just Great Lakes Lifting.
